The World Shirdi Sai Baba Organisation (UK), an international non-governmental organisation in Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council, continues its commitment towards advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by actively engaging in initiatives aimed at reducing hunger and poverty among vulnerable communities.

In line with SDG Goal 2 – Zero Hunger, which seeks to end hunger, achieve food security, improve nutrition, and ensure access to safe and sufficient food for all, the organisation carried out a humanitarian outreach programme on 6 June 2026 in Nairobi, focusing on the underserved community of Korogocho.

Working in collaboration with local community leader Mr.Pravin Chauhan and several local non-governmental organisations, the World Shirdi Sai Baba Organisation (UK) distributed food assistance to families facing severe economic hardship.

The initiative was part of the organisation’s broader mission to help reduce hunger and malnutrition while promoting dignity and well-being among disadvantaged populations.

Korogocho is one of the most economically challenged informal settlements in Nairobi.

Many residents live amidst difficult conditions, with limited access to essential services such as clean water, sanitation, healthcare, and reliable infrastructure.
