International Day of Peace, the 2025 Geneva Peace Talks
On 10th September 2025, the World Shirdi Sai Baba Organisation (UK) and the Shirdi Sai Baba Society of Malaysia had the honour of participating in the PeaceTalks held at the United Nations Office in Geneva, Room XVII.
Every year, the world commemorates the International Day of Peace, a day dedicated to strengthening the ideals of peace and fostering harmony among all nations and communities.

Peace is Possible
The 2025 theme, “Peace is Possible,” resonated deeply with participants, inspiring renewed commitment towards collective efforts for a more compassionate and peaceful world.
The PeaceTalks event, co-organised by the United Nations in Geneva, Interpeace, and the Geneva Peacebuilding Platform, has grown into a global platform that elevates storytelling as a transformative tool to inspire unity and understanding.
The event brings together an extraordinary gathering of diplomats, peacebuilders, community leaders, and artists, all united in the belief that peace is not only necessary but achievable.

Representing both organisations, I felt truly honoured to stand in the halls of the United Nations in Geneva, a place where dialogue shapes the destiny of nations.
Participation in this event was not only a privilege but also an opportunity to expand the network of our organisation and foster goodwill with fellow NGOs, international leaders, and peace advocates.

The World Shirdi Sai Baba Organisation (UK) also resonates deeply with the ideals of the United Nations, which is to bring peace and harmony to the world.
The teachings of Shirdi Sai Baba, rooted in love, service, and unity beyond caste, creed, or religion, align seamlessly with the vision of the International Day of Peace.
